our new apprentice Matt cleaning out all of the rubber that was stuck under the guards after the Warwick burn-out comp . check out the rubber on the floor under the car
........be good to see you at it again Wayne
My spies tell me Colin kicked some watercooled datsun backside as to did Wayne.
it was a great day out at Canberra Hillclimb . Early morning rain made the track very slippery . Colin did very well in his black beetle with his quickest run of 49.23 secs and 1st in class . Chris Bolton in the WPVW formula vee 1200 ran a quickest time of 50.63 secs and 3rd in class . I ran the WPVW sports sedan with a quickest time of 49.73 secs and 2nd in class . This was much slower than the record I set in 2003 of 45.8 secs . I now appreciate how good new tyres are , the tyres on the sports sedan are 7 years old and are really buggered . Lack of grip contributed to an off track excursion with no damage and still a time of 49.98 secs . Late afternoon rain poured down cutting short many competitors day of racing, mine included . I managed 3 timed runs before the rain and then the sports sedan was loaded back onto the trailer . I was having enough trouble keeping it on the track in the dry , time for some new tyres . Well done to all who competed.

Great to hear of the 3 Volksy's running at the front. Well done Colin. Love the polished cookie cutters.
