I'm running michelin XZX 165's
what is the most ideal pressure for these because I know that radials run a little higher than the bias ply's that the bug came with.
I have them at 24 front and 28 rear at the moment which isn't too bad.
I did have them at 18 front and 24 rear but it felt spungy so I pumped it up a bit.
Cheers
Shaun
XZX's are a road tyre rather than a semi slick, yeah ???
Road tyres you want to be pretty high... I know guys who run upwards of 40 psi doing circuit stuff with road tyres... bit of insurance that the tyre
won't roll off the rim I think.
Semi slicks it depends on brand and model, but usually around 32 hot is a good starting point (they have a different side wall construction ya see)

There are many things to consider for tyre pessures, such as suspension, road or track, rim width, and so on. I feel happy running 'low' pressures -
19f & 22r on the track.
A good idea is to experiment with pressures until YOU are comfortable with the handling. Have fun!
Cheers, Greg
i used to change pressures if it was wet or dry down to 18 in the front when wet and 26 rear and 24 front 30 rear dry
