Car's interior was stripped today in prep for the rollcage that i'm getting on the 26th (cutting it close to Valla...)
I took nearly everything out, the worst part was getting rid of the sound deadening that I stupidly put down when I was 16 (becasue sub woofers were
cool then...)
removing the carpet and sound-deadening though did reveal my worst fears... lots of surface rust and a pool of water around the battery (this is where
street parking and poor council drainage gets you), so drilled some holes through the floor to let the water out, next weekends mission is to sand
down the interior, clean, and coat the floor with some gloss chassis paint.
And the fire extinguisher can now be fitted to, bought some high tensile bolts and fat washers, so that it doesn't pull out.
The car is so light now though, which is a plus for my stock engine, the only thing is now it runs with positive camber to start with! So I might get the back dropped a few inches if funds allow... or
if someone can help as I've never done it before.
Cheers
Shaun
