Hi
My neighbour gave me calender from John Ballantyne manufacturing http://jbms.net.au/index.htm
Each month the calendar has facts about great Australian motor racers or race cars, on the October 2010 page it mentions Paul England and how he used
to run twin VW engined hill climb car, does anybody remember this car?
Steve
Stan's knows about it.......I think John Spinks was trying to buy this car about 15 years ago.
Hi Craig
It would have been a handful I think, imagine trying to get both motors synchronised for corners.
I will ask Stan next time that I see him, don't want to run up the phone bill talking to him
Steve
I will be talking with him tomorrow, so I will ask him for you.
Have you seen the twin mini powered Hiollclimb car in action ?

Pauls car has an 1835cc rear engine witha 1600 cc front engine , Blower pipes down the length of the car feeding both engines
twin Hollenger gearboxes !!
no wings in those days , Drivers were Fat and Tyres were skinny

It would certainly make a good story for VMMA, as would Heath & Christines or Ben Durie,s awesomely quick, current hillclimb cars.
Cheers Col
I'm feeling a VW racing special issue....
