Hi Guys, what is the go with car regulations and certain racing classes, are their restrictions on wheels and tyres. It seems like most of you use 15x7, why is that, are the tyres regulated or cheaper or is it too hard to find anything better/different?
Depending on what class you are in it changes,
Historics allow 1 inch over stock.
Improved Production allow 2 inches over stock I believe; but have a look at the CAMS manual (link below) it has all the information you need.

What are you thinking of doing?
Yeah, like has been said in a few different threads before, you should pick your category before you build the car, then read up the rules while
builduing to make sure you'll fit the criteria.
You need to meet ALL the general requirements, plus the ones for the category and class you're going to run. Most of the hillclimb beetles run 3J
Improved Production 1601-2000cc.
Or you could run Sports Sedan which is basically an anything goes category.
Also rules change slightly state to state - for example in Qld they have a Road Registered class - so best get in with the local racers and am sure
they'll give you some pointers.
