Thought a thread with a list of events people planned to enter would be good; so that fellow dubbers can come and watch or enter.
It's about time some events were VW'd a little more
My Year looks like this
Easter - Eastern Creek FOSC
May 21st - VW Nationals (Wakefield)
May 28th & 29th - Historic Winton (Vic)
June 25th 26th - HSRCA Eastern Creek
July 30th 31st - HRCC Morgan Park (QLD) maybe
August 20th 21st - HSRCA Eastern Creek
August 27th 28th - Leyburn Sprints (maybe)
Sept 24th 25th - HSRCA Wakefield Park
November 26th 27th - Tasman Revival Eastern Creek
I'll run in the regularity for all the above; too slow to actually race! But will have a little more squirt than last year thanks to some bolt on goodies.
If I can wing it off work i'd like to do some wednesdays with GEAR at wakefield as well.
Big question is; I want to do Bathurst does anyone know what events are possible this year?
Cheers
Shaun
Firstly, the State hillclimb rounds one and two on the weekend of February 26 and 27. First day is the Esses (in reverse) and the second day is
Mountain Straight. Entries close February 16.
Don,t know who is already entered or is about to yet, but generally gets a good VW representation with beetles, formula V and other big banger VW
powered open wheelers.
for bathurst events see http://www.blcc.com.au/dmdocuments/cal%202011b.pdf
As far as the state championship hillclimbs go. Here are the events including host clubs, venue and dates:
1 BLCC 26/02/11 The Esses, Bathurst
2 BLCC 27/02/11 Mountain Straight, Bathurst
3 SDMA 10/04/11 Canberra Hillclimb
4 TSCC 15/05/11 Oakburn Park, Tamworth
5 GSCC 12/06/11 Mountain View , Grafton
6 KSCC 03/07/11 Mt Cooperabung, Kempsey
7 MGNew 31/07/10 Ringwood Park, Raymond Terrace
8 WSCC 18/9/11 Huntley Hill, Wollongong
9 MGNew 02/10/11 King Edward Park, Newcastle
These are just the state events. On top of that you have a whole heap of local or club events which run through out the year. In the Newcastle/Hunter
area the NAMS (Group 5) series runs 6 or so events a year at the Ringwood complex.
Anyone of the above listed evetns will have a quick VW at it. Either beetle or open wheeler. There are a few dame quick beetles which are based in the
Hunter area so the local hillclimbs are attend by them.

Love to Colin, however I dont think Nathan will have the car not quite finished by then. Although he is trying pretty hard to. Perhaps in the near future. Have a good weekend.
