I have transformed my circut car from drag racing mode back into circut mode . I have preped it and re-scaled the car and will head to Wakefield park on Thursday for an advanced driver training day . I have no idea what I am in for but am looking forward to a big day of technical stuff . I have some new soft Yokohama tyres thanks to CT and I will let you know what the day is like , ROD.
Rod,
Is that Thursday, as in tomorrow ?????
Kevin
According to the Wakefield site yes it is
You'll need some thermal undies, Rod - it will be COLD at W.P.
Second thoughts - you may need a spare pair [depends on how well the car handles]
Greg,
you're closer than us, go down there and spy for us and then we will know he he tells us lies
You can also check out your competition.
Kev
howd u go rod.....
hmmmmm....yes driver training will be helpful for Rod !
ahh!! No, what happened there?
looks like a T-bone; you weren't in the car were you Craig, if so everything ok?
old one of rods
Yes he was lucky to walk away
Thank God the scooter is still ridable
Thought that had more to do with a concrete truck.
Well , after a full day of testing @ wakefield park on thursday , I can now report that I think I have broken the transmission . I turned almost 40 laps with small adjustments to the car after every 5-6 laps . I would like to say a big thanks to CT Hanson , as the new soft Yokohamas are really good and I now have lots of grip in the front end . I was adjusting tyre pressures slowly throughout the day and it was getting better with every run . With a top temp of 8 degrees I was having trouble getting any temp into the engine with an oil temp bearly getting to 70 degrees . The cylinder temps were lucky to reach 300 degrees and the tyre temps at around 90 degrees . I will pull the engine out today and see if I can rebuild it before next weekend , ROD.

good stuff rod the more laps with someone who knows is worth more than years of self development! I dropped 3 seconds around winton following the ipra record holder!
