A big congrats to Heath Campbell for winning the NSW Hillclimb Championship, for Improved Production 1601-2000cc class.
Heath drove the wheels of his mighty Beetle this year breaking records along the way. Allthough myself and others tryed hard, Heath dominated the
class with some great drives.
Here are a few other highlights from my personal thoughts.
Drive of the year,
There were a few outstanding efforts but one stood out for me, Heath in the rain at Grafton, to acheive 3rd outright was amazing.
Shit Stirrer of the year,
Easy, Christine Campbell.
Best sounding Beetle,
Again very easy decision , Greg Wards car, full noise headind up through the tree,s at Cooperabung Hillclimb.
Funniest moment of the year,
Glenn Torrens at Cooperabung Hillclimb, pissed as, laying in the boot of his Beetle watching our camp fire.
Best Event,
Hard to go past racing at Bathurst.
Best Presented Car,
I think i,d have to go close?
With Nathan Abbott racing next year i hope to be able to report the results of at least 5 Beetles in the Hillclimb series.
I had a absolute ball racing with the guys and gal, and hope to go that little bit faster at each venue next year.
Cheers Col

Hi Col,
is heaths car engine built by ben durie?
do you guys compete against the honda's, cause they are in my class's over here in W.A and those things are ridiculously fast...around barbagallo they are 5-10 seconds in front of me, mine being only 90+whp but still even if i had 130+ i think i wouldnt be that fast.....
