i drove the bug to albany on the weekend to race at mt clarence hillclimb and round the houses regularitywhich is a re enactment of a historic
motorsport event which the vintage sporting car club of WA holds every year.also on the monday speed event series held their event at mt clarence as
well...because two organisations held evnets over the same weekend i chose th miss the wind farm hillclimb to do the regularity...on the way down a as
hole cop slapped a yellow sticker "defect notice" on my car but the racing put a smile back on my dial..my camera spat the dummy for the
regularity.so did not get any footage of this...so here is 2 quick vids...

good to see the old gearbox in use ,still love those ratios even though they are a bit tall for hill climbs
geez your bug must have some grunt, great vid
awesome work mate!
Very cool
That is one fast hill climb and nice high ratios. You could do Eastern Creek circuit with those ratios.
Nice wheel work too.
Nice vids, I love incar footage!!!
Thanks for posting up the footage
Gotta love the spectator safety barrier on the right at the start line.
Cheers Col
Nice! Makes me want to drive my beetle again.
great in-car footage mate ..... I like it very much .....well done , your bug sounds really good and I love the look of that steep climb
thanks everyone.
the hillclimb i missed called the windfarm is actualy faster and a bit longer but will have to wait till next year now for that..but here it is with
my class leader...

What was the yellow sticker for?
Nice one Chris.
It makes me nervous watching the scenery so close to the car at those speeds.
The engine sounds strong.
CT
daimo, he put down cage, rolling diameter of wheels and also too low but it does not matter if he put 20 things down or 1 the whole car will be
getting the going over at the pits...lucky for me one of the guys who was racing is also a manager at one of the ispection centers.but he cant get me
over but he can help me get it rego'd as a race car hopefully.HOPEFULLY!
CT, the only bit that made me nervous was the last corner on the left was a telegraph pole with tyres round it and you will also see a change of of
hot mix right at that corner...it absaloutly pissed down all night but still managed to have lots of grip....soft tyres next time....
Great in-car. thanks for sharing
Nice work Chris, sounds great!
Hope that is the shift light near the tach!
Awesome mate, that bug got some balls!
Great footage. Man the cops in WA can be real dicks.
yeah that gearbox was made to suit eastern creek and oran park
Thought so Paul
Is it CAMS that knocked the cage, height etc. ?
Share some details to help other tragics if you don't mind
it was on the way there Marcus.......POLICE
