Today Tamworth Sporting Car Club hosted round 6 of the NSW Hillclimb championship
The weather really played along with a cold 1 degree start to the day followed by top of 19 degrees and perfect sunny skys.
With my 499 car getting a engine rebuild i won,t be competing for the rest of the year, but Glen Torrens very generously offered to double enter his
car with me which i took up the offer.
After 2 runs i was leading the class and asked a steward to stop the event. Unfortunatly my request was declined and we all had 6 runs for the day.
Final times were as follows
1st Aaron Osborne (Datto) 36.76 secs
2nd Col Mayman 38.14 secs
3rd Glen Torrens 38.15 secs
4th Adrian Peck (Datto) 38.54 secs
It is a real testament to Glen and his car that i was able to slot straight into his car and be completely comfortable with his setup and drive the
car so easily.
It really is a easy car to drive, and i was amazed how good the brake package worked which Glen designed and sells to other dubbers. If your thinking
of upgrading your brake performance look no further than Glens packages
Thanks for the drive Glen, your car was bullet proof even with double the runs for the day it never missed a beat
Cheers Col
A friend spotted Glen Singleton on his way home!!!
I passed him in Muscwellbrook - I was on my way back to Inverell from Bugs & Busses by the Bay.
I passed a lot of other hillclimb cars as well - I wondered if it had been the Tamworth hillclimb.
Shame on you Col for going 1/100th quicker than the cars owner!!!
Sounds like the package is well behaved Glen. Congrats.

Great effort Col and Glen, nearly knocked both those pesky dattos off their perch.
nice work gents
Cruel bastard!
Beating Glen in his own car. You only had to lift a fraction!
You're not driving mine then!
