Is that car still at powertune in his showroom looks the same as the one I saw there a few years back ,what lap times did you get down to
Same car. I sold it to him in 1981, and although i have tried to buy it back, he won't sell. It should be driven, not just allowed to sit and
rot.
Got into high 53s at Amaroo.
Thanks Greg for posting that vid of you racing at Amaroo.
Brings back alot of memorys of dad taking me there to watch the car racing when i was a little tacker.
I remember one time Dad took me with his mate Stan Adler, did you ever meet Stan? good bloke.
We came across Dick johnson and Dad said hello, Dick remembered racing against Dad so he let me sit in his race car.
It was the mighty Ford Cosworth Sierra. Remember that day like it was yesterday, i was only 9 or 10 years old. What a shame Amaroo is no more.
Cheers Col
53s around amaroo thats impressive , was it swing axle ?
Classic footage. There used to be a car that looked like that in the showroom at powertune years ago.
Col, I see Stan from time to time - he lives in Qld now, and still drives the 911 in historics. How's Brian?
Paul, not swing-axle . The body & pan were '69 'S', with
f'glass front & rear. Drive off the Hewland was Beetle shafts and CVs. I fabricated rear uprights from the trailing arms, turned 90 degrees, and
cut down. Front and rear wishbones were also fabricated, with rose joints. Stock 'S' front brakes and Fiat rear. Even though it went against the
grain, I used a Mini steering rack. Mawer 13" wheels,
with S/H slicks.

How do we get him to sell it so it doesn't stay hidden behind all the crap in his front yard. That car deserves to be let loose again.
I here he also has shed full of vws ,somewhere
At the VW Nats. earlier this year, I made it quite clear to Adrian that I believed the Sports Sedan should be sold back to me. He was not interested.
not interested and very funny as well
I aint laughin', Dave.
yes the other guy is the funny one
