after much debate, plenty of Jack Daniels an hassling from some good mates ,an lack of any real nostalgia bikes ,some of you may know i built an raced a vw bike along with Stan an Thornley Bros in mid seventys we are starting on a build , along the lines of my original one , only blown this time for nostalgia racing, an all vw drag days....... if they let us

This will be cool. Do you know what happened to Rick Thorley? You said Thornley Bros, is that the same guy?

Rick used to work at our local council.

gday steve , yea there was three bros , Jim owned an built it , Sam rode it , Rick was quite young at the time an was the goeffer, but no ,dont know where they all are now

naa steve theere not that big , you can still get 4" slicks ,we dont want it to go all that fast , resonably fast,lots a noise an plenty of tyre smoke , with todays tyres n track prep, it 'll break the driveline, an wont be a good show

Geoff no we havn't anything suitable , the marshall would be perfect , is that the one off Mark Walkers v twin , i sold it for Mark ,went to paul muller ,then think to you , what sort of money you need

I saw Joe Cook's bike in the last 60's or early 70's a Ravenswood drag's when I was a wee tacker.
It was the fastest bike in Aussie, it only ran 9's is I recall ,but then it was crazy fast and a site to watch.
There was a bike like for sale about 15 years ago
it maybe still around , have a talk to some of the old racers

the marshall blower pics damien put up here, is off Mark Walker's blown vtwin (late with blower removed ) i rode for a while , home built billit ,4 valve quad cam ,2lltr nitro ,be double nostalgic with that blower whistling away between my legs again
