Nearly nearly finished, getting pretty excited about getting my hands on it, just need to get it from the US to here, wait for the gearbox, and plug
it into the car... kind of...
Specs are 84 x 101.6, pauter block, moldex crank, Venolia pistons (.927" pins), angle flow heads built by shawn geers with Crower rocker system, 4
stage dry sump, twin oil coolers, pauter/mcleod twin disc clutch and flywheel, Ct comp oilless turbo - runs a water feed into the bearing area to
remove some heat, custom garrett cored air to water IC. Will be running an autronics ecu, custom fan housing/porsche. E85, some street, but mostly
track stuff.
Wowzers!! Is geers building the whole deal or just the heads?
Geers heads only, the rest has been built by Marty Staggs.
Wow, super sweet.
Cheers Col
i just pooped my pants !
Some street use you say?!
Very cool!! Loven the exhaust
awsome exhaust, inlet manifolds not so good.why does everyone do these styles of inlet manifolds,it's got me baft.
it will still be a fun engine though,i bet you can't wait to hear it fire up.
and rockers ,wow .i am jealous, what are they,i want a set.

Mate, that's a pretty serious set up, Geers, Staggs, Pauter, Moldex, Venolia, Crower, Garrett all in a "street" motor......WoW
That is a boat anchor. It's not good for much. I'll tell you.... I will do you a favour and take it off you so that it doesn't take up space.
Awesome!!!
Yeah I know, I'm a bit concerned about the weight... I'll stop eating pies. The long block was built for an unlimited street car that never happened, but he was looking for 8-900 hp. Engine will live with 40lbs of boost and 9000 rpm, not that I intend to push the boundaries anywhere near that hard. Looking for up to 500 hp on E85, but a very slow build up to that.
Where in NZ are you?
Im in Auckland
You have pics of what car this is going in?
Driving that through the Bombay hills will be nice. Driving it over mount messenger will be even better.....
Driving full song through the middle of Auckland....even better
Going into this, there is a thread in the members rides section on it.
Nice. That will be a lot of fun!
Sweet ride
Sweet colour
@#$%'n sweet motor
Intercooler arrived (garret core, 65mm in/out, -8 water feed), waterpump, and I have a 20l fuel cell that will be the main water reservoir, plus a
radiator mounted... somewhere. Basically the reservoir and pump will mount in the passengers rear seat area along with the pump (pump weighs 6 kg !!)
Plus I need to try and squeeze the oil tank on that side too.
Battery is under passengers side so add it all together with the oil in the tank and Im picking it will be about 45kgs of crap on that side (with oil
and water) . If I stuff a goat in there it will go someway to evening up my considerable bulk.
Turbo is a water cooled deal with sealed bearings (no oil feed), so Im thinking I will run tank - pump - IC - turbo - radiator - tank. Maybe IC and
turbo the other way round. Heres a link to the turbo deal - http://compturbo.com/spotlights/oil-less
with the inlet manifolds they would have worked better if you had collected them like the pipe off the throttle body 1 into 2 reverse of an exhaust
collector.
but other than that it's a f--kin cool car and engine setup.should be heaps of fun.
have you got a part number that you can share for those rockers,i would love a set.
Rockers were from Geers - http://www.geersengineering.com/products#!__products/rockers - They are a Crower Rocker.
12 months later.... Not much has happened, have just pulled the top end down and cleaned up the cylinders, and coated the exhaust. Will have the car
back home next week and start the plumbing, then electrics. 4 months to get it done...
On the way back to the car...
Get her done!... You'll be shaking the island in not time with this beasty.
Remote filter and coils mounted....
Water tank, water meth tank, oil coolers and intercooler all mounted
IC from the side.
Plumbing next week, then wiring then back for final bits and pieces of fabrication... cant wait to fire it up !!
