with very little noise about Warwick apparant on AVDS as yet I thought I would kick it off for Craig who I am sure will be very busy at the moment.
Some of you may know that I recently started mixing race fuels and that we are a minor sponser for Warwick this year along with the usual suspects.
As it is probably not advisable to use my high octane race fuels without an appropraite engine tune to suit the higher octane it doesn't make sense
to promote my Hyper brand race fuels for Warwick, however I also have Methanol available and if your car is already running Methanol then this is a
simple proposition.
For those interested I can supply Methanol in 20l drums at Warwick on a pre-order basis. My Methanol is days fresh rather than the sometimes months
old imported supplies availalbe on the market.
I currently have 3 stockists around Brisbane carrying stock as per the photos below but have decided that I will provide fuel to the VW racers direct
as that way I can pass on the saving to you. My pricing for Warwick will be $40 per drum.
If you need any information check out our web site, http://www.hyperracefuels.com.au or feel free to pm me of post back on this thread.
looking forward to another great weekend at Warwick.
Hi All,
Yes, I've been a little quiet on the Warwick updates - there's been a track load of paperwork to seamlessly organise from Sydney to Warwick this
year so that everyone can go racing without last minute entry hassles. I'm almost through it.
Everything is all go for Warwick and the VWMA website ( http://www.vwma.net.au ) has all
the information updated and online. As in past years, gate passes, driver information, etc will all be waiting at the track for you to collect on
arrival. I don't send anything out in the mail as we all know how easy it is to misplace or not pack tickets, etc.
Entries close September 28th, either by online or post. The dinner on the Saturday night must also be pre-booked with your entry so that no one is
disappointed.
A number of new cars will debut this year at Warwick and there have also been some serious testing happening with the top runners (I may have to
revise the cut-off time for the Top VW Shootout)! Ryan Heymans is now behind the wheel of the ex-VWMA drag buggy, Jason Frost has a new Beetle ride to
take for a spin, and Barry Cripps is champing at the bit to run his choptop at an all VW meet. The 1/8th mile at Warwick always provides exciting
racing and great spectator vantage points.
And what will roll out from the VWMA workshop? No, nothing this year, although Barry Thompson, Rod Penrose and I have been working hard to finish the
dragster, but it's still a mile too far for 2013. The issue has been building a dragster from scratch with very little VW powered dragster reference
in Australia. I'll get there.
See you on the track.
Cheers

Hey Louie
can we use the methanol to heat the paella pan ???
Talking code again dave - nasty habit!
What Dave was trying to say was that it was bloody cold so we filled the paella pan with methanol to keep us warm, you probably dont want to know that
