Ben Ford - VW 66' Super Sedan 2442ml supercharged / injected type-1
Chris Bolton - VW 67' Super Sedan 2332ml turbo type-1
Hopefully we will all have a great weekend with new PB's and I would like to lower my Official Track Record with the Dragster ....
The camshaft in the Dragster engine has been replaced after it broke in half at Warwick .... Ben Ford has installed new billet front brakes & a
line locker , so plenty of noise & smoke from Ben .... Chris Boltons' start line boost issues have been solved and Chris should now rocket from
the start line ....
Have fun and be safe guys.
Sorry guys wish I could join you for a run but I have to spend the weekend preparing the backyard for the new Flamin tiki headquarters stay safe and have a great time.
Any new's ?

Nice work Henry...I thought I'd read it was raining...obviously not
Here's a tip for the youngsters out there, when running #1 Qualifier in a Big Block Chev the 2nd round of racing, DON'T BACK OFF when you can't see
him at all at 1200 feet, He'll drive around you!!!!!!!
I ran an 11.90 on a 11.89 dial in, so it was close anyway
I love close racing!!!!
Thanks for that tip, Henry.....I'll remember that. What was it again?
Well after all of the confusion for Team WPVW early on Sunday morning regarding the weather conditions …. We did finally make it to the track and
had very good results indeed …. This his how our morning panned out ….
After a fairly late night at the WPVW Christmas dinner , 6 team members arrive at WPVW at 5-30am as planned , only to find it pouring rain …. We
make a coffee , sit around the kitchen table and discuss our options for the day …. At 6-30am the weather was still crap , the weather radar was
showing signs of rain around the Blacktown area , so we decided to give it a miss …. We unloaded Chris’ turbo bug off the trailer , put it back on
the wheel dollys and packed it away in the race shed …. All of the race gear was unpacked and we headed home to get some sleep ….
At 9-15am a friend had messaged me from Sydney Dragway asking where we were , as it was good weather up there and racing had started on time at 8-30am
…. I quickly contacted all our Team members ( most of them were asleep in bed ) and we all quickly made our way to WPVW where we loaded Chris’
turbo bug back onto the trailer , packed all of the race gear and headed off to Sydney Dragway at 10am ….
The weather was still crap and raining , thick fog over the top of Mount Ousley and onto Picton Road , but we still headed for the track …. By the
time we reached the other end of Picton Road where we turn onto the Hume Highway , the weather had changed enormously with large patches of blue sky
and much warmer temperatures ….
We Arrived at Sydney Dragway at approx. 11-15am and got ourselves ready to race …. But we had very good results !! with Chris Bolton running a new
PB in his turbo drag bug 9.61@141.5mph and I ran a new PB in the WPVW Dragster 9.29@112mph …. I also lowered my class track record on the day
….
This is the 1st time I have run the WPVW Dragster on the quarter mile with the new turbo system that I have designed & fabricated and it is quite
evident that the fuel supply will no longer keep up with the engine ….
A big thanks to Henry Spicak for assistance on the day with his MSD test unit , which enabled me to eliminate the ignition system as the cause of the
engine cutting out ….
