Ooh sounds awesome dude! :bounce Whats teh go with the baja?
this is yo yo from the 60's . I have just aquired the origional photo
I found some pics of Yo Yo too,
These are a bit later when it ran a 88 x 82 (SPG roller crank)supercharged engine, produced 270 hp and ran on methanol, the gear box was a stock 1500
with a ZF LSD. Ran a best time of 11.21.
Not very good quality, cam from an old magazine article.
The team, Earle Krygger, daughter Kay and wife Pat in racing colours.
Supercharger is chain driven.
The rear end showing the stinger exhaust.

Hi,
If you want any info on Yo Yo let me know. It was my Dad's (Earle Krygger's) car. PS Has it be resurrected?
Cheers
JK
Wow! What a surprise!
Welcome to the forum!
What was the history of your family and YO-YO after you guys were "Quicker than Keegan" in '71?
What is your name? Is Earle still around?
How exciting!
Would love to hear as much about the history and experiences as possible.
I believe Earle held a few records with this car in normally aspirated form,
before going to the blower.

Nice, very nice
Any one seen any colour shots...man that would look good with the Aussie flag!
nice work damo, keen for some pics!
I have a photo (took it myself) of a later version of "Yo Yo " at Surfers. I think it was at the Nationals in 1972 or 73 ,"Yo Yo" by then was a
short rear engine Dragster. I don't have a scanner however I'll try to have the photo scanned and put on this site.
Glenn
bloody awesome thats it.doesnt have the decklid painted like that and has stock wide five rims at the front.Havent contacted this or any of me past finds for bloody ages .The story I got was from a guy who bought it from geelong.Thats mad I also have that the same photos I photocopied them from Lindsay Mitchel
Hi. Yes, while yo yo was still registered with bumper bars and all was entered into D-GAS and broke a National Record.
It ran 11.99 (with carburettors) before it was supercharged.
Then he chopped 3 inches to the body and entered it in Open Gas class.
Finally, Earle took the motor out and sold it, then sold the Body to a spray painters and car repairs place (two bros) in Cheltenham (SE suburb
Melb).
He then went into building a rail (the gear box went into the rail).
Later, he then went onto Hill climbing NSW.
He is now retired with lots of good memories!
Thanks for the update!
Where do you fit into this story? (nothing in your profile yet)
I know that Earle was your dad, but did you go with him to the races?
How about some photos?!
Garry & Mike Baker used to be 2 brothers running a repair shop in Cheltenham -- I think. Called "Vee-W Motors"?
Yeah i think the Bakers do have the motor , i remember them telling me some story about it.
AD
the bakers sold the motor to mitchs motors he ran it in his car for a season not sure what happened to it somebody must have scored my guess is gary.Gonna try get some flix for you guys.We gotta save this for ozvw history sakes..
