YO YO historic drag photo
hypo-vw - May 24th, 2005 at 09:43 PM

as previously mentioned on another post that I cant seem to find , this is a copy of an origional photo from the 60's of a drag bug called " YO YO " . Apparently someone on this forum has purchased it after finding it in a Melbourne backyard . I hope this photo helps the new owner in the forthcoming restoration of this piece of Australian VW drag history .

I found some pics of Yo Yo too,
These are a bit later when it ran a 88 x 82 (SPG roller crank)supercharged engine, produced 270 hp and ran on methanol, the gear box was a stock 1500 with a ZF LSD. Ran a best time of 11.21.

Hi

The air ducts were a pretty popular add to bugs in that era.

This the all conquering Chris Heyer driven Rallycross bug, notice the air scoops.
