Jessie James runs a cable tv show called Monster Garage they decided to build a splitwindow bug in 7days and run a nine second pass down the quarter mile. Five big name vw personalities helped in project.They debut the bug at DKP cruise night in front of hundreds of people BUT with a twist!!!! The boys drove down the main road in front of everyone but the POLICE were waiting.After lots of words and many vw fans looking on they were let off.For more check out http://www.dkpcarclub.com  , or www.cal-look .com. Man that it good stuff. Only in the USA. Imagine driving that down George St The Rocks?????. Some how I dont think you would be allowed to drive it home if that were here.

yeah Clyde Berg and Ron Lumuses were part of the crew build the Moster Garage VW.

Pete I was at the DKP cruise the other week dont recall seeing the car there ???

HI,Dave the cruise night was on July 3 at Nick's Burgers.IF you look on DKP web site,you will see how big it was.The show will air on 22 August on Discovery channel.
