I'm thinking about going down to the Wednesday night street meet at eastern creek probably on the 12th of Oct.

Is there any other Vee dubs out there interested in coming down for a couple runs??

I just got my 1916cc engine in my buggy, so just curious with what time i will get (also some w**ker wants to race me in his accent, so i wouldn't mind shutting him up once again)

I'll probably go in the S3 . Getting some phonelic (spelling ?) spacers fitted to the inlet manifold , straight through exhaust and a bit of lightening (seats out ) ran a 13.7 last time hoping for a 12 ( a bit optomistic I know :P)

I know this is an Air cooled forum and there are few people literate with both the new and old stuff .

1.8 Turbo (ko4 turbo ) 14 psi standard 21 chipped 26 race chip ( guessing here )

155 kw standard 195 chipped around 220 race chip

I was weighed at the Nationals and with me 1/2 tank of fuel it was 1535 kg .

Comes with haldex 4wd , 312mm ventilated front brakes , 256mm vented rear , 17 inch wheels , recaro interior , umm , if you want to know more ask me .

I think I will be there with the oval . Just have to get the reverse gear repaired first . Should be pulling the motor & box next week .

The watercooled guys decided to run on the 19th as a couple of them wont be here on the 12th . Should be close to a dozen late model VW / Audi's . Is that ok with you guys ?

I'm battling to change my fuel fitting in my fuel tank in time for Wednesday night, but i should have it ready in time.

Does anyone know if they will definitly be coming?

definately wont make it for the 12th . snow'd under at work and have to spend this week on the type-3 turbo conversion so that I can get the article written for VWMA . Have fun guys , wish I could be there !!

I think i will just call it off. The person i was planning to run for a case of bourbon chickened out, and it would of been cool having a couple vw's there. Hopefully another time BEFORE next nats if there are people out there that are up for it (wasn't expecting quite a poor response), Can't comaplain though, most probably live far, while im only 10mins down the road.

I'm still waiting for my phonelophic spacer to come from the US . Geez they are really taking their time !! If I dont get it by the end of the week I'm reschedueling until probably last week in October or first week in Nov . Anyone else wanna come ?

Not afraid of going alone either, the reason for me orginally wanting to go was to win a case of bourbon. Then i thought it would of been good to have a couple other vw's there. I will still go one night before x-mas, as bug racer said theres no point until your ready, and i still need to mount my fual pump a little lower (didn't know it was gravity feed) so my car conks out at 120kmph ( this is after making the fuel line/fitting larger, before that i couldnt do much more then 90-100kmph

I'm with you there , there is minimal enthusiasm in the air cooled scene . I could get half a dozen water cooled cars out to the track next week !
