i was wondering if anyone has tried adapting motorcycle T/B's, on a vw t1 or t4 motor, im currently building a 2276 t1 motor. i have just bought some 1200 ninga T/B's, to use as quad T/B injection. i think there have been a few guys in the US who have tried ti already. Any toughts from local builders would be great

My brother has this setup on his 2.0 pinto escort. Works extremely well but takes a bit to setup.
Also reaserch the distance between heads and TB positions, good torque gains can be achieved depending on distance.
My bro moved his out 1 inch and picked up little HP but good torque. Also the linkage setup on the flat 4 would be a little tricky.

yeah the linkage will take some work, i was looking at fabricating a similar style manifold to a 48ida webber

I have also seen/heard of bike TB's being used on cars - if you can do the fabricating yourself, great, otherwise you wil probably spend more $ in machining etc than what 'off the shelf' IDA style TBs will cost you. Do the sums first!!!!

Yes, the loaction of the throttle body (and to a lesser extent, the injectors) will affect throttle response and torque etc

i have have access to the right equipment and have some fabrication skills, and the electronics knowledge as far as wiring the computer etc. i also know an experinced fabricator who i do electrical work for who is willing to help out. as far as somes go i bout the T/B's complete wit tps and injectors for 200AUS, to buy injection perfection T/B's its about 550 a pair=1100+maifolds+injectors+linkage. i know its goin to take some work though
