The Import meeting which was going to be on Nov 27, has been change to Dec 17. This meeting is the next ANDRA round for Sports Compact. Allmotor is the hot class for vw's ( No power adders). Dave Butler holds mph record. Rod Richardson had et record last year.I think we all should try to support this one,to show WSID track that a good race meeting doesnt have to be V8's. Plus there is a ET brackets as well ,for cars that don't fit into ANDRA Sports Compact classes. ( like - Dave Stocker, Mike Kristen ) . Rod Richardson and I ( P Page)are looking at coming down.Might be looking for sum where to stay near track. The next round is FEB 2006 in Adelaide.
I will go up and give my Beetle a flogging,
Need to give the new engine a run.
Spose entry forms are on the WSID web sight?
My workshop is 9.2km from the track and there is a f1 motel about 3km from the workshop . If anyone wants to leave a car here u2u me .
Thanks
Seb
Pete can you do me a favour and get on Macca's back for me, if you guys can make the effort to come down from sunny Qld I'm sure he can make it
there from the Gong. The car hasnt been driven since the nats and I'm doing all I can from here.
Five bugs running all motor how cool would that be!
I'm probably going to be running the S3 and looks like the R32 is coming down as well . Pity its such short notice otherwise could organise more cars to come :P
Entry form turned up in the mail today,
Entry includes 4 pit crew as well.
Matt Sherwood has applied for media accreditation through VW Magazine Australia. If all is approved the VW guys competing will be featured in issue#9. So if you seeing your mug and ride in the magazine a little more often is a little more incentive to rock up, then the camera will be snapping.
how serious is this meet ,what types of car should we expect to see other than the vws?
can 20 second buses run?
I think there is a 15.99 cut off .
How many people are confirmed ?
Dak-A-Tak racing and Rod (48ida) Richardson have made the dedision to stay home (bris ,QLD ) But next year Sport Compact Attack meeting in Feb, in Sdyney , will be our next trip. We have made the task to bring and race two cars ( 61, 48ida car and hellbug chop top). I hope everyone gets behide the December meeting so sports compact can grow and so it doesn't hinder Ray Box event in 2006 FEB MEETING.
Bummer guys , pity your not coming .
Here is the list of entries so far :

Not many entries yet only 4 cars in all motor. and only 3 VW's all up, come on you Sydney VW guys.

Hi
I think Dave Stocker was hoping to run, he had was dynoing his bug last Saturday. I was going to come out for a look after work, hope there is some
more dubs running.
Steve
I just received an Email from Ray Box, one of the promoters for this event,
There are still places left and they will be taking some entries on the day, looks like they might be short on entries, all motor only has 6 cars
entered.
Come on guys lets get some more VW's out there, you don't have to have a fast car to be competitive, just consistent, this is bracket racing. There
may not be a next time if they can't get enought entries for this one.
Yup I'm there:thumb
I tried to get as many people entered . Everyone has excuses !!!!
I'm probably the most inconsistent person there is . Times varying from 13.7 to 17.8 ! :cry

Everybody ready?
Who is on the final list for the Volksys...(and other related families)?
What is the weather like down there?
Anyone know where we can download the results or run-sheets as they happen?
Hi
This is a link to the entry list http://www.wsid.com.au/includes/General/Entrylist.pdf
Its dam hot now, showers predicted tomorrow.
Steve
Cool, three Air cooled and two water pumpers.
Good luck everyone!
I'm out, my new built gearbox won't shift second. Not enough time to do a swap.

Cars all prepped . Happy with the performance . Off home now :P
Any times guys?
Times and a couple of pics tomorrow when I face trying to read my notes...
Well apart from being the hottest day in the whole wide universe !!!! It wasnt bad . I managed to knock my 60 ft times down to 1.9 and the lowest
being a 1.93 . Best run was a 13.7 @97 mph . Worst run was a 14.04 @ 96 mph . Ive worked out the launches now and can launch without stalling . After
1/2 track the heat got to the car and you can feel the boost withering away . changing gears to get the boost back didnt help so 5000 rpm in 4th was
the best way . The last run I got my best 60ft and 1/8 mile but changing into fifth stuffed things up and only ran 13.8 . If I had kept it in 4th
maybe might have run a 13.6 . Definately not going out till it gets colder or until I get the Water to air cooler fitted .

Great shots Matt, (as usual)
Yep it sure was hot!!, I think there will also be a few fold out sun shades at the Penrith tip, Mine lasted about 15 minutes before the wind got hold
of it and turned it over, bent bits every where.
I ran two 13.1's at 100mph in qualifing, dialed in 13.1 for the racing and bogged on the line to be eliminated 1 st round, running 13.7 on the 13.1
dial in, not good enough.
Car is still in one piece, happy with how the new engine went. be nice to try it on a cooler day, should be good for 12's like the old engine.

How'd Macca and EMS go?
And how did that Honda go in All Motor?
[ Edited on 19-12-2005 by dangerous ]
the only honda's in all motor were a couple of slower ones, I think the quick one couldnt show. Macca ran a couple of 12.8's at around 100mph. The fastest all motor car was a gemini with some monster injection stacks out the bonnet!
