Hi All,
Here's a pic of my turbo manifold we have been doing. It is stainless and will be polished in the end. The reason it is unfinished is we have been
really piccy and it was all together but we pulled the section out of it cause we weren't happy. We have also altr'd the other single pipe so the
bend wasn't so sharp by inserting a 5cm piece midway in the bend. Now the 2 angled bits are on the same angle on each side of the sump.
There are more pics here:

Hi Heath have you decided on a ecu .Altronics smc still only $1650 thats what I payed for one 6 years ago.Is there enough gravity feed for the oil to
return from the turbohousinng back to the sump . The oil can froth up exiting the turbo Porsche had trouble in their early set ups ,you can run a
exspantion can on the oil outlet .
great to see the project coming along.I almost sold mine but ,just picked up a 915 box for it .
be careful cos if your turbo oil drain back is submerged and the oil level is similar to the height of the turbo, then you can suffer from oil injestion problems in your turbo causing smoky exahust and oiled up inlet piping
Clean and compact,I like it,if you have to take block back apart for final checkover, may want to tig AN fitting where location for universal case iwould be capped off. That way you could come out of turbo with AN10 90degree fitting and go straight to the block where you would have welded fitting in above oil level, just a thought.pretty cool looking system
DragVW2180,
welcome to the forum. I haven't updated my post for a while but it is coming and it will be quite a big update. As for the oil drain, I am going to
run the drain pipe down to a little (1" tube with ends welded up) reserve tank and then the oil is sucked out of there by a pump through a oil cooler
and drains back into the rocker cover, down the pushrod tube and back into the sump. I have everything but the rear guards and rocker covers to mount
it all so its all in a box at the moment. I have been working on the intercoolers lately and getting the reserve tank and radiator sorted. Also
restoring all the old parts like wiper motors etc for the 54. You can see all here:

Thanks for the welcome. If you are going to run a two stage oil pump anyways, why not just go to a full dry sump system with a tank ?Run your full flow line to tank, use it as your scavage side to pull oil out of sump, use second stage to pull cool oil out of tank to pump, from there to filter and into block at original full flow fitting, works great and has a cool factor of 10,lol, Mike
