My son and I are going to the "Winters" from Rocky. Any VW's intending on competing?

Yep, Wally and Bugger running.

UPDATE!
Wally's first qualifyer is an 11.988@106...so he is not in the field yet...needs to run in the tens.
Big news though is Simon Holgersons V8 Volksy has run a 6.96@198mph.
Yes it is a V8, but he loves his Volksys.
His second qualifyer has produced a MASSIVE wheelstand,
and the car has thudded to the ground hurt.

Wally qualified last night with a 10.66. The first run of the day revealed a loose accelerator linkage which came adrift half track. The second run jarred a wiring pin loose after a heavy wheelstand, with the engine cutting out before the line. However he still managed to qualify (10.9 or better for Super Sedan).

But it's raining at Willowbank so no more racing today. The event organisers will wait till tomorrow to make a decision.

Wally is through to the second round after a 10.66 pass with a 10.65 dial-in. Sorry, haven't got the speed yet. He sent a 9.15 V8 Torana home early.

The second round of seven won't be until 6pm tonight, and with the washout yesterday, racing is set to continue through till very, very late.
