Hey Dave ,
Man those wheels are SWEET!!! Gotta send us some pics when you get them mounted.

humpty - July 26th, 2006 at 02:50 PM

Man you really dig those 'old school' Bathurst's don't you Dave?.... Harkin' back to the 'good' old days of VVDS sponsorship and early aeros!.... You'll be eligible to run in the Nostalgia Drags with that car Dave.... Its got loads of history and now its looking more like the old set-up too!... Just sans the spindle mounts!

Too kool!

They sure are wide. How come so long...did you know it was gunna take so long.

dangerous - July 26th, 2006 at 09:08 PM

I had no Idea they would take so long.
Performance Wheels will not deal with the public and so there was
a "misunderstanding"between the tyre shop and the rep.
I actually ordered another setfrom a different dealer (that Performance wheels reccomended!)
about four years ago, and am still waiting for those!
After speaking with the rep, it was only three and a half weeks, and $770, including caps and wheel bolts.

I absoloultly hate Globe wheels , but every now and then you see a set that are cool , There is a ruby red Karmann in my hood that has the same set up as these and i think it looks nuts. cant wait to see these on yo ride.

Hey Ads.... Check out some of the 'retro' pics of Daves car.... He ran Bathurst's back in the early 90's with spindle mounts on the front..... Looked nuts on that car.... And I have never really been a fan of them either.....

VWCOOL - July 26th, 2006 at 11:00 PM

Are they held on with bolts? I need a set of old-skool style wheel bolts for a set of Performance wheels... I thought they were out of biz!

I love Bathurst wheels... classic

I have fitted studs to the rotors so will not need the bolts.
The wheels use a normal mag wheel nut but they supplied 14x1.5 bolts
with a 60 degree taper.
I will sell the bolts for food money if you want them.

Yeah, that might work - then all I have to do is get a taper machined into the square-based holes in the wheels. U2U me with how much you want - I'll get a price on machining and decide whether these wheels are worth the effort and $...
