Thick walled 92`s

Hi,
Contemplating getting myself a set of these. Anyone have any experience yet. I realize they are fairly new to the market but you never know. Let me hear your thoughts either way.

I am one of the few fans of 92mm pistons. I had some in my blown engine when it ran 10.22.
But with all the forged 94s that are around now, it probably is not very cost effective.
I had heard of these but never seen a set.
Stock 94s are probably good enough for the job, but if your heads are already set up for 94s, there may be some cylinder overhang.
What heads are you planning to use?
They would be much better than 90.5s, in both strength and power ability.

Hi,
I also have run the std 92's. 11.23 @124 with no problems.
It's all in the tune.

I have also used power sleaved 92's from RLR with JE pistons, but as Dave said you can get cheaper parts these days.

I was thinking about the longevity and strength issue when boosted. For me to buy a set of good 94 pistons and cylinders is almost the same cost as the 92 cylinder with JE piston.
Dave, i have a set of CE`S that are bored to suit 94 but have no chamber or port work yet. An extra couple of hundred dollars doesn`t really bother me if they are somewhat stronger so to speak. Maybe i`ll be the guinea pig and see how they perform.

I say go for it Keith.
As long as the cylinder doesn't overlap the chamber too much you will not be a Guinea Pig.
I ran 90.5s on a 92 chamber with no ill effects.
As Nick said, its all in the tune.
