vw54 - September 5th, 2006 at 07:30 AM

Dave

Its the same old engine n gearbox

VW engine case and stock gearbox

dangerous - September 6th, 2006 at 04:22 PM

So,
2165 VW case and heads with turbo and EFI
VW IRS SSC with 930 cvs, Albins gears and Quaife diff.

Looks like quite a weight saving.
Wheely bars?

vw54 - September 6th, 2006 at 04:50 PM

yeah the Wheely bars are still in the making should be finished by next week...

Dyno tomorrow arvo yippie 14 liters per minute

Carnt wait to get it on the scales at WSID n see how much we have shaved offf

No Albins gears as yet

vw54 - September 7th, 2006 at 08:21 AM

New gear shift pattern

58bbugger - September 7th, 2006 at 12:20 PM

How much power will this make?
How fast should it go?

dangerous - September 7th, 2006 at 04:01 PM

Their previous car ran in the high tens.
Judging by the fuel pump flow it will run on methanol,
and other similar spec cars run in the low 10s to high nines.
Does depend on the final weight, would guess 700kg.
Pac Performance do the tuning and have a lot of experience
with boost and methanol with Microtec.
I am sure Dave will let us know how it goes tonight.
