Twenty-eight confirmed Volkswagen racers will be competing at the Warwick Weekend. This is tremendous news. I have received a number of enquiries
about late entries, and they are being accepted on a case by case means, so please contact me prior to the event. The field could possibly grow to 35,
which will make for some great entertainment.
Below are the confirmed racers (watercooled cars to be added soon once their specs arrive). Some have pics and times, others are first timers to the
track.

This is one quality field. If you want to see the best Volkswagens that this country can throw down the eighth mile strip, then Warwick is the place
to take a seat.
As I said, late entries phone Craig on 0419 735 596.
Gate passes, bumper stickers, day program and information sheet will be sent to all confirmed competitors next week.
Will there be a t-shirt for the event?
Hey thats awesome.
Please tell me there will be a full spread in VWMA and has anyone thought of taking some quality video footage and producing a DVD of the days action
?
I have a t-shirt design ready. It's just a question of having it done before the event. There will only be 50 made, and then orders taken if they
sell out.
Yes, full coverage in VWMA issue#12. Matt Sherwood is responsible for these forum pics, and his work is top notch.
DVD? Damn, another thing to think about. Any volunteers?
bags a t-shirt....:P
Bloody hell I am getting excited! Can't wait to meet some of these guys and learn as much as I can for future drag endeavours (I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot more drag racing in coming months/years!).
Will be there minus car due to gearbox issues.... Will be there next time with new gearbox and much bigger engine ready to run...
I've pulled the Speedster out and she started after a bit of coughing (hasn't run in 9 months) so if the entry is accepted I'll be there......:P She hasn't been the same after losing the front in an accident....still 1916 powered.
Any engine and tranny specs pete?
What are best times?
Nice Sppedster, runs too !!!! Hell if I don't sell mine I may have to turn it into a racecar hahahaha Mike
Nothing special Dave just a low comp 1916 with 044 heads, 44s, 120 cam.
Runs a stock trans with a 14.4 @ 90? MPH 1/4.
Anyone out there putting together a DVD of the day? If so I'd be keen to buy a copy,as many others would be.
Additionally has anyone heard of any media coverage for the event, speed week etc.
I'm coming too, peer pressure got to me:thumb
