Hi Mike,
Yeah, there is about 100 bags of cement right there!

Hi Damo,
the lifters will be the same Pauter ones that I have been using. Light weight and super durable.
This cam is about half way between the two that I have tried so far.
I have made my own camshaft blanks twice before,
but the hassle of having it heat treated and ground before and after(cam guy is now in Sydney),
plus the 8 hours on the lathe and mill was not worth it.
This profile is a proven entity as far as stability, so I bit the bullet.

Damn those model hands! They are a curse!

jason1957 - December 19th, 2006 at 10:28 PM

Hope it gets you down the quarter faster Dave.

Good Luck:spin:

dangerous - December 20th, 2006 at 01:07 PM

Thanks Jason,
Next step will be to send it down to Surecam in Sydney to have the profile checked
in case there are any harmonic or grind-quality issues.
But I will still try the engine with the old cam and all those other changes first.

jason1957 - December 21st, 2006 at 03:36 PM

Nice I can't wait to see it in action again its been awhile for me. So how much is a tenth of a second costing you these days Dave? I don't think I want to know or it might scare me off drag racing for good!

Again Good Luck + lets hope it does bring you a couple of tenths:tu:

Dak-A-Tak - December 21st, 2006 at 10:23 PM

dangerous - December 22nd, 2006 at 05:50 PM

What kind of brakes Mike?
Can you adapt them to your spindle mounts?
Cool pressy, Santa , she's pretty cool!

Dasdubber - December 22nd, 2006 at 10:39 PM

I don't have pics but Santa delivered two new Berg RHD 12in shifters to me today - very happy - just in time for chrissy!

dragvw2180 - December 22nd, 2006 at 10:41 PM

I was not concerned about weight on the front end, actually needed a few more lbs ballast,so went with late model type three discs. Kieth and I talked about adapting rotors to mount to the spindles, have seen them done, but with the stock discs I can get parts anywhere, custom fabbed ones are a pain if you need replacements. Besides, found the whole deal on EBAY for 136.00,all new!!!!! I already bought the drop spindles,so here I go. Merry xmas to you all , Mike

Turbo and Gas?

racingdev - December 29th, 2006 at 09:04 AM

What's the deal with posting photos. Can't seem to get mine to attach.
:cry

dangerous - December 29th, 2006 at 09:19 AM

The photos need to be reduced in size, (I find 450 by 338 pixels to be good)
or hosted on a site like photobucket and linked.

You can send them to my email if you want, but try to reduce the size a bit?
