Nice! Now you need some 94 barrels and slugs

dangerous - December 22nd, 2006 at 05:48 PM

Hey Col,
i have the 1.12 (or 1.22 fourth if you are keen!) in stock.
Luke ran as quick as 13.3 with the turbo, but had N2O.
He may have cracked 100mph on one run too!

It is so cool that this is 1584cc!!

The old Volksworld shop car from the ex-Windsor store never looked so quick!

Gracey - February 19th, 2007 at 09:38 PM

I love it!

Must be a real screamer.

Who did the heads?

bus914 - February 19th, 2007 at 09:59 PM

45 dells on a 1600, mental.:thumb:thumb

just ignore this question if it is a dedicated racing donk, what's it like under 4000rpm? drivable?

dangerous - February 20th, 2007 at 06:00 AM

This is Col's ONLY transport and he drives it every day.

Heads are small port & valved (37x32) ported heads by John Hill ("Beared Clam") up here in Brisbane.
I think the head porting cost Col a pretty penny but could easily be duplicated by anyone at home.
The castings are just some old ones from the 'tip shop'.
311 0n one side and 043 on the other ?

Drives smooth from idle up to 6000. Good fuel economy too & on 91 octane.

And big bores too...Haha!...85.5mm!

A big bore AND long stroke would really wake this car up!

pete wood - February 23rd, 2007 at 08:01 AM

yeah, but that'd ruin the fun of it wouldn't it eh? I love it. I want one.

Awsome, stock type 3, 043 valves are 35.5x32 according to S.P. so i've gotta ask what venturis are in those dells?

dangerous - February 23rd, 2007 at 05:26 PM

Yes only the intake valve has been replaced and is the maximum size for that factory seat.

I think the Dell's have a 36 venturi, but will have to ask Col unless he chimes in.

What was his best time that night?

LIFE IN THE LOW LANE - March 20th, 2007 at 07:29 PM

Good job there Col.:thumb nice time too!

But next time you go to Super cheap for a colour match make sure you have the correct code and don't eye match it as the results on your car speak for themselves LOL.
