Anyone got any info or done it themselves?
There's a local guy using this set up, but I think he may be a little scared to use it, still unproven. But the system has been fitted for 4mths. He
says it will hold???? stock 1600, I'm a liitle doubtfull.
Any ideas, will it or won't it work?

The weak link is the pistons.
if they are std it will crack the top off in the ring grooves. Std pistons have slots and are weak. Even the semi forged mahle/cima pistons are a
better option as they are made from better material and also have holes not slots under the rings.
put some decent pistons in it and good valves and HIT your life away!!!
The std VW engine is over engineered and can handle decent upgrades.
Pick up a cheap beetle as a 'test car' and give it a go on a stock engine. There's only one way to know for sure

Questions that have been raised it what is reasonable when it comes to nos on a small capacity engine. We've been considering a 50hp shot is
reasonable but have been thinking a 100hp shot may prematurely detonate an engine...obvious we've not read much into itat the moment.
I've also thought about the fuel system. The local guy up here is running 2 separate fuel systems. A mate suggested you'd be better off running a
single higher volume fuel pump such as a holley black or blue and then running 2 fuel regulators off it - one for the carbs and one for the nos.
Theory with this is if the fuel pump dies then the engine stops. Thoughts?
I ran two separate systems.
always new pumps with filters and regularly flowed them. If you get your mixtures right and ignition, 100 hp is not a problem. Once again I think the
std pistons will tell you otherwise. What a rush !!!!!!!!!! NOS makes boost feel lazy.
