Yeah Reub... Its my old bug, with Hermann's old school IDA 2.7 'FAT PERFORMANCE' donk... the box is a bog stock 40hp transaxle with stock everything inside.... No superdiff, no ratios, no HD side plates, no steel shift forks.... Nothin'!.... Just some homebrewed BERG style mounts.....

And for the record.... 13.44 IS fast!... Especially considering it is Hermann's first time at a real drag strip outside of South Africa.... He is now thinking of fitting the turbo engine into this car instead of building another..... I for one hope he does, even if it means my old car gets chopped up a bit!

It is so good to see guys like Hermann actually out there racing their cars.

Any details on the MPH you ran?
Was that with radials?

It was on MT slicks Dave, but I can't for the life of me remember the MPH.... Hopefully Hermann will chim in.... I'll call him tonight and ask.... As it is right now, I really do think there has to be a high 12 in that car, but the question is:
Well the transaxle hold together?
Its a really low budget concern this car, built out of spare parts and TLC.... I have a clutch here in stock that I have donated to the cause, as the stock one that is in the car as finally dropped its bundle... But Hermann is keen to get out there on the Wednesday Night Street Meet. It'll be good to see him there real soon.....
