Its going to happen again ,,,,
due to popular demand we are going to head back down to WSID for round 2 , everyone had a ball last meet we had there ,i think most of us have our
helmet sitting on the passenger seat so when we pull up at a set of lights we can pull it on strap it up and go for it ..
if you have not read the right up on the meet check out scotts (kom123)post ,click on the link

details
VENUE, western sydney international dragway
DATE,wednesday 16th may 2007
TIME, 5pm
if you are going to be later than 5pm its ok as racing continues right up to 10pm
COST , $45 to run as many times as you can manage
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
your rego papers and licence
you must wear long pants and a long sleeved top
your vw must have the battery clamped down properly
a good idea to bring your spare parts such as fan belt etc, although many of us will have one if you forget
you need a helmet , once again if you dont have a helmet you will be able to borrow one , would be best if you bring one as when we line up to race we
all go in one big group.
when you arrive and pay your entrance fee you will recieve some forms to fill out , a good idea is to fill out your forms before you go for
scruitineering (spelling????) you then drive around to shed number 1 or 2 for a quick car check, hand in the forms get your lane number and you are
ready to go.
you have to take of your hubcaps and dress rims so might be a good idea to do this at home, you can drive with roof racks etc
times ranged from jeff with his v6 bay doing 15.6s to 21.5s, so its not all about speed its really alot of fun no matter how slow you go

4 weeks away we want to get a big turn out for this , come along if you can its well worth the effort ..
scott has to come down with the trophy that he won for slowest time with a biggest engine (bloody tea drinker), the trophy is one that has to brought
back and passed on to the winner of the next meet , we need to come up with a new catorgory for this event , am thinking along the lines of best
reaction time ..(not really my decsion just an idea)
last meet jeff got a reation time of 0.028 which was second fastest out of all drivers there on the night , fastest was a 0.024 fastest reaction time
on the night wins $300 through WSID
if you get a reaction time of 0.000 you will win $1800 from WSID so this alone is worth the effort to come down to have ago..
cheers darren
not to long away i hope you are ready , seems we are getting quite alot more interest this time around , last meet we had around 10 cars that raced
looks like we will double this
cheers darren

what a $hit i had to work how did it go???
Great night at WSID.
It was just a bit busy, as the top fuellers and funny cars were also running.
I ran a 17.1 @ 77.59 mph
As the car was not running well and it was my first time at the drags, I'm hoping there is room for lots of improvement next time.
was a great night had by all , waiting for pics and videos to be posted up by someone .
personally i beat my previous pb of 19.03 with a 18.11 , i also have alot more weight including the rear seats a very heavy shaggy pile carpet, the
front passenger seat, rubber floor mats etc , also next time we are going to try to run with no fan belts , the reason for this is one of the guys
ripped of his fan belt on the line and continued down , he beat his previous best by 1.2 seconds on that run .. he ran a 18.10 against me with my
18.11 second pass
