JAMBOREE AUGUST 23-24.
So far I think Dangerous, Pete Page and Rod Richardson are racing(if all goes to plan).
i'll be there and I imagine Stanley will be there helping dangerous too.
Come and support the Volksies try and snare another round win off the Honda and the newly bolstered Rotary ranks.
i would like to come watch.
if all the gang is going i might nead to drop in and say hi.
My buggy is still broked so am entered in my Datto 180b
To-day was a promo for Jamboree 2008 at Orion shopping centre , with 6 other cars attending . An early start 7.30 arrival and finishing up at 3.30 .
Thanks to Rod for helping out. ( Love my black carby stack covers )
Looks like 4 vw 's racing next week ( Dangerous Dave , 48IDA Rod R , Wally Penboss , Peter P )
Looks good mate. should be a good weekend. I spoke to the Alcorn brother's last wednesday at basketball and the red car is in Sydney getting some work done and they were not confident at all of it making an appearance.
I think the Alcorns are unbeatable to take the championship,
but knowing them, it is just a psych out...hehe ..young fellas!
I am all set.
Car maintenance is done...all sweet for next week end.
good luck guy's.
as per usual the car looks tops pagey.
can't wait to see the vid's
Pete, Jane came to Orion just to see you and could't find you she said you must be a snob I was too busy working on my car
wouldn't surprise me but he did seem genuinely disappointed about not haivng a car to run.(the red one that is)
Sorry about that ! but had to go home and work on Rods black car . Best part was driving car through car park ,then back of shopping centre to set up . I'm going to Jambo as a test & tune ( start slow )
Look forward to seeing the yellow car on the track Pete
Anyone know if Aaron will be there in the kombi? And what about Morgan?
And I just realised it's next week end
spoke to morgan at Valla and his car is still in pieces. they are apparantly still building a shed!! Must a damm good one cause it has been going on for a while now.

hahahahahahaha. When did you start doing comedy gigs LOL
guess I'll have to prove you wrong then .......
Hi guys. Alien Motorsport / Motorsport Induction are having a little gathering for the All Motor Class on Satrurday night. See below.
OK , seeing as this will be the best Jamboree ever, and the fact that we have a marquee as well , we thought it would be nice to have a little meet and greet on saturday night for all the guys in the
All Motor class. Nothing fancy (no black tie required
) Just a little
gesture to thank each and everyone for coming along to join the ranks of the greatest racing class in the world ( yeah im biased). It wont be going
all night as we all have some business to attend to the following day  now that there are 20 entries ...yes another one I was sms'd last night
. We were thinking after the last qualifing runs at 8:30 just turn up and introduce yourself , have a chat meet some of the people you dont know in
the class. We may even look into getting some pizza's if you guys want to do that ... Let me know before Friday or even at the track . Who wants in
?
I've just been informed The All Motor sponsor Steve Hellyer will be in attendance with some Castrol goodies to give away. We should all thank Steve
for the massive contribution he has made to ensure that OUR class gains the recognition it deserves.
Also it will be advertised all week on Speed FM and all day over the PA at Jamboree. I will add more later as i know more.
Love to come but i will be leaving the track earlyish on saturday night as i have already got another invite to dinner that I can't miss!!
sure some of the other boys will attend though!!
Wally Penboss is also competiting this weekend. He has new engine 2276cc(Looking at Dangerous to correct me lol), T60 garrett and CES have done him some snazzy new pipes. Once he gets used to the extra power the car should be very quick indeed and in fact may run into the 9's if Neil gets it all together. Car is going to dyno this week sometime so as soon as I hear some figures I'll post em up.
Actually even wally is not sure of the engine size , since I think the crank is an 84?
It should run nines with 3 cylinders running.
1570 lbs car with driver from memory.

Shaping up to be a good weekend (touch wood) compared to last years shit fight.
Aaron roberts won't be running this year. He will be a spectator as he is doing some work on his bus atm.
I am all set.
Engine sounds good.
Gave the car a nice wash with Jif,(really!!).
It should be nice weather all week end.
Hope to report in tonight with some info.
Weather looks great this morning - blue skies as far as the eye can see!
I'll be heading to brissy soon and can't wait to see some action!
Al
what's the news,were's the vid's.
i know it's abit early but i am bored.hurry up.
DAMMIT!
I was invited to this... but couldn't go cause i was working at autobarn
sigh...
Logging on at Mum and Dads place in the (Freezing cold!) Lockyer Valley.
Busy day for me , but I will get to that soon.
Pete ran an 11.7something at 114 which was good to finally see the car going down the 1/4
in what seems like years.
1445 lbs with driver will mean it will be a fast car with just about ANY engine(take your eyes off mine Pagey!!)
Rod Richo, ran a best of 12.19 at 1709lbs and awesome 1.54 sixty foot, leaving at 6600rpm.
New billet intermediate housing working awesome.(lower gears helping too)
Not sure what Wally ran but a big wheely in the burnout(at least a foot!) was talk of the pits.
My day?
Could have been better, but the end result was a relieved 11.31@117.59mph ...1780lb fat bastard.
in a one shot last chance near the end of the day.
First session, after the burnout,
the spacer I had fitted on the throw-out ring, decided to part company after 17 years of trouble free service.
Thinking my weekend was over, my trusty crew chief, Stanley, offered the services of his home workshop
and tig welder to make it one piece again.
Engine out, wheels and mud guards off, we got it welded, and back to the track
and had it altogether just before the last qualifying session.(phew!)
Still some problems with the shift coupling, but good enough to run the 11.31.
Enough from me, looking forward to more fun tomorrow!

OK, I admit I'm not a great camera-man, but here's some video I shot out at the strip today. I've got some still camera pics too that I'll
hopefully post up in the morning.
Video's from the 3rd session of qualifying:
Dave Butler, 'The Muffin Man' - 11.31 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKdGFh5A-Cs
Rod Richardson - 12.19 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjYsxY1fnhU
Neil 'Wally' Penboss - 11.40 with a bit of fuel starvation and LOTS of air : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GYk9GUXNV0
Great vids. Cheers for posting.
Congrats to all
