DATE - Saturday 20th december

If you are keen then post which date you like and we will go from there. Be good to have something like 10 odd Volksy's to get out there and run eachother!

Dangerous what are your thoughts on this and Stanly too .
We might even go to wednesday night event too .

LIFE IN THE LOW LANE - November 6th, 2008 at 05:49 PM

Open to ideas everyone but thought saturday would be better as no traffic on Ipswich Mwy and don't have to rush after work!!

matberry - November 6th, 2008 at 08:10 PM

Just make it SOON

or I'll be out there without ya's

Dak-A-Tak - November 6th, 2008 at 08:53 PM

When I said Wednesday night I mean Rod and I . The 22sec he has to be at farm and 13th he is away oversea's

matberry - November 6th, 2008 at 09:18 PM

What about this Sat, after the manx show?

Stanley - November 7th, 2008 at 06:24 AM

I'm easy as i'm close by, however I need time to organise a tow car and trailer (until mine is built)
Just don't make it a Saturday when the Street Series is on or you'll spend most of the night in the staging lanes waiting.

LIFE IN THE LOW LANE - November 7th, 2008 at 06:51 AM

Yeah good point Stanley give the nights a miss when Street series is on.

dangerous - November 7th, 2008 at 06:56 AM

I am cool for any Wednesday night.
Saturday nights are out for me unless long term planning.

I wont be running until my new pushrods are made,
and I have not even ordered the tubing yet.
Most likely early next year.

But always keen to know if you guys are running and I will try to make it up there.

Sides - November 7th, 2008 at 07:23 AM

OK, dumb question time - what's the requirements (car and driver) for running in a T&T at Willowbank ???

My drag racing experience is basically zero... just Warwick last year, and then crew for Wally at Jamboree this year...

matberry - November 7th, 2008 at 07:57 AM

So this sat no good?
I dont mind wed if we get more passes, as long as we have a few days notice.

Sides - November 7th, 2008 at 09:19 AM

OK, cool - thanks for the info Stanley - meet those requirements no worries, and no WAY will Jezebel get anywhere near 11.00 down the quarter !!!

I'd be keen for most any Wed night...

STOCK - November 7th, 2008 at 10:27 AM

HEY MATT GET OUT THOSE NAPKINS FROM WARICK
& DO SOME OF THOSE ADJUSTMENTS YOU STOLE FROM US
HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE FUN.
SYDNEY SUX NO TEST & TUNES FOR US
THE JUNKA STILL HASN'T COME OFF THE
TRAILER FROM WARICK.
I SPOSE WE SHOULD GET ON TO THAT

BiX - November 7th, 2008 at 11:21 AM

I could be up for a wens night, better than weekends for me.

matberry - November 7th, 2008 at 11:27 AM

STOCK, you know all the best shit was first designed on a napkin, and I dont mean the type Brad wears:lol::lol::lol:

You guys better pull it out and get that car ready, at this rate you'll end up bust'n your a.. for Warwick 09, never mind Portland, or just bring her up here, I'll play....

What's Wed next sound like, or too close to GC show?

Dak-A-Tak - November 7th, 2008 at 08:40 PM

Well the idea is try to get all the volkys mate's together for a lazy chat or food (christmas cheers) and then a few runs together at track . For Me a Saturday is best for a lazy get together (don't need to rush ). A Sat ,Test & Tune is the best more time and track opens a little earlier .Plus it tides you out for work next day if it's a Wed !
No people , Rod , Matt,Stanley,Myself ,sides ,bix , maybe Troy ,or Dave B.
For me and rod 20th Dec ?

typethreeking - November 8th, 2008 at 12:09 PM

yeah pete, all going well at the dyno this week coming, i would love to take the car out for a spin. 20th is good for me its the start of three weeks holidays:tu:

Stanley - November 9th, 2008 at 08:27 AM

i'm in for the 20th....should have my decklid on by then too

LIFE IN THE LOW LANE - November 9th, 2008 at 12:55 PM

So do we have the general consensus that the 20th is go? I'll edit thread title if this is agreed apon.

typethreeking - November 9th, 2008 at 07:25 PM

sounds good to me, gives people at bit more time to organize things

Stanley - December 13th, 2008 at 04:41 PM

Everyone still on for this next saturday? (weather permitting of course)

555bug - December 13th, 2008 at 07:56 PM

Hey Wes do you want to take the bike out for a spin again? I'd like to have a run and as my bug is years off this is my only option :)

Dasdubber - December 15th, 2008 at 09:56 PM

Hope you guys have a great day/night out at willowbank - I would love to be there but we are having Christmas day early with my in-laws as they are going away, so I can't make it. Will be looking forward to pics/info so hopefully someone not racing can get some good shots!
All the best and merry christmas to everyone, stay safe.
Al

matberry - December 15th, 2008 at 10:09 PM

Not sure, workshop now busy with the usual 'out before christmas' jobs. I also ordered some parts from Chinese Bullshit about a month ago, recieved a confirmation that the order had been processed and slugged with a USD$160.00 freight charge, and now after not recieving or hearing anything, the order seems to have never existed, even on my credit card.....what the!!
AND my new panel tow car doesn't have a tow bar yet.....oh the trials and tribulations.:starhit:

Dasdubber - December 15th, 2008 at 10:54 PM

Don't feel too bad Matt, CB Perf charged me US$320 for freight for a box of bugger all bits (and got hit with customs duty, GST blah blah).....but at least it got here, hopefully your order can be found and delivered!
