Howdy all
If anyone is keen for a cheap drag car (less engine), then this may be for you!!
After a mad thrash to get the RAD BUG (tribute to the 80s drag bugs of yesteryear) ready for warwick last year, unfortunately the decision has to be
made to sell (space/storage/significant other pressures!). It was a joint project between myself and Brad (blup58) and we had a ball putting it
together - it ran a best of 9.1sec on the 1/8th (first time out) with his 2110.
I won't crap on too much with details as anyone interested can shoot me a PM or call. In summary though, new 8mm stainless fuel line, electric fuel
pump, new wiring/relays etc, new 14in tyres, line lock in place but not currently working (haven't had time to sort it out), solid mounted gearbox
(stock 1500), adjusters just welded into b/j beam, new window rubbers all round.....blah blah. I've got close to $4K in it (not including the
time/labour).
$2000 ono (engine or autometer guages not included)

Will put it in the normal cars for sale section but figured this is the best section to advertise a drag car.
Forgot to say car is currently located at Shailer Park (south side of Brissy)

NOOOOOO. You can't sell the rad bug...........
unless you replace it with something else from the 80's..........
Someone else will have to pick up the baton and run with it Brenndan (maybe you?)! I know Crazy Col had some Mullholland-look items that could further
enhance the look!
Alternatively if someone still wants a cheap drag car (rolling shell) but not keen on the paint job I'll blow over it in all white for a few hundred
bucks if they can help with the prep.....I know the 80s theme is not for everyone

Being a child of the 70's and part of the 80's this car brings back some memories of what used to do the show scene up here in Brissy. Anybody else
remember Action day at Mt gravatt showgrounds and some of the out there cars that used to show up??
got some pics??
Reckon I would have some of those days on film.....need to dig em out.
Who has this now and whats in it... havent seen it since dubs by the pie.
It went to someone in brissy who was planning to get it back on the road and registered - not sure where he is up to now.
love the thread title update.
