091/type1. can of worms

hi, i got it in my mind to put a091 into my bug. already have donk= 2386cc web86c cam, super flo 48/40valves,wiseco pistons, 48ida's,around 11.5 to 1comp. just had advise from cbb only need a type 1 trans. i want reliability, but i dont want anything i dont need. wot to do?

I have a type 1 swinger box built by Shimo that I may sell if you decide to go that way.

It has Albins gears, with close 3rd and 4th, alloy spool, HD side covers, Ryno case, 3.88 R&P has about 20 1/8 mile passes on it. $2500.

depends on how much power you chase and how much you want to spend on a box.
it's all realative to your budget.

I guess it comes down to how hard you drive and what you really want to achieve. I prefer overkill to underkill....
