Just got back from Irwindale 1/8th mile strip - again some great action on the track.
Roger Crawford running nitrous ran a best of 5.77 @ 118.82
Pat McDermott had his Fiat out again and made a cracking pass - unfortunately the bright lights on the board weren't picked up on my camera properly,
and I have forgotten the details of his run. Spoke to Pat after the run and he noted it was his second best pass in the 1/8th. I'm sure there will be
details soon on ultimate aircooled forum somewhere.
Buster John ran 6.35 @ 107.74 on what they said was their little motor with NOS.
Ole Jorgensen made a crazy wheels up in first three gears (with a bit of bouncing that helped) for a 7.19 @ 93.38 (2276 N/A superflow heads, using the
bus box and axles out of the Berg's black car. Talking to Ole, Luke Pell helped with the car/engine when he was over here working a while back.
Captured a big fire ball when one of the beetle's turbo engines must have had a fuel leak after the burnout - will post the vid when I get it
uploaded - didn't look like too much damage fortunately (but only had a quick look in the pits).
AJ Sims continued to pull big wheelies as usual - I think I saw him run a best of 7.14 @ 102.9 but I could be wrong.
A turbo manx ran 6.47 @ 107.9 (sorry didn't get name of driver)
A bug named Anger Management ran 6.75 @ 96.06.
And more of course but its not easy keeping track of everyone's runs! Was cool to see some of the big V8s run as well although Roger and Pat would
have put 95% of them to shame - wish they paired them up against the v8s more! One car ran I think in the 5.20s or 5.30s at 140mph which was pretty
awesome.
Will post vids when I upload them.

Unfortunately didn't get to meet the owner of this bug...and hence not sure of name - someone will be able to fill in the details. Fortunately the
fire didn't get out of hand!

Al you're the man and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is just a lil bit envious of what you are up to!!
Yeah awesome stuff, must be unreal to see so many top level cars
I'm just hoping I can get to Warwick this year for a look!!
Keen to see any others you have when you get a minute to spare
Buster John's other run 6.33 @ 108.23

Same car but different driver - not sure if it is John's son or someone else (young guy) - headed towards the wall on the launch and then got
slippery each time he got on it mid track....fortunately backed off and avoided carnage.

PS Nick's burger meet on Friday night was insane - so many top cars there. OCTO yesterday with heaps of cool splits, and the Classic today was
supposedly the biggest its been. Not to mention more open houses in the last couple of days. I have hundreds and hundreds of pics - will try to upload
them when I get a chance - back in Oz this weekend.
