just thought i would post the link to the thread of my car on here and also start a new thread regarding my car and mike's car seeing as though they
are going do be drag orientated and its just easier for me to keep track of and update the one thread instead of 2 (im lazy). more pics will be up soon, in the mean time, heres a few pics of mine
on the link below

looks good
thanks birchall. so whats happening with your car now? doing any bodywork or just focusing on mechanical? or just driving and enjoying it?
Dude - that wheel and tire combo is PORN! I love it
May I ask what rim/tyre combo it is? Cheers
hey Reub, thanks man, the look i was going for.... they are actually
15x6 Brm's front and rear, but the 135's on the front stretch out onto the rim and the slicks on the back balloon out and look fat... so it turned
out well me thinks
here are a couple of the recent pics, iv got pics from when i first got it but there are waaaayyyyy too many to post up... lol there are a few of the
early ones on the link in my signature box if anyone is interested.... anyway, here goes and there will be many more to come including mikes car,
hopefully i can get some update pics within a few days (she's a bit naked at the moment and we need to hang some panels )
deleted herbie that night and trial fitted bonnet and deckilid
some sanding............. and then some more... and so on....
being a little silly
kyb shocks and gearbox strap
yet again another front beam, this one is a CB 2 inch narrow with step adjusters.
mattie olsen machined up these nice trick alloy spacers so that i could fit the center cap onto my BRM's
the scat tensioner pulley is rubbish so stoker machined up this one for me
and these are just some recent pics.

hi Harry, extractors were actually off the shelf.... saw them at valla at george's stand (classic veedub) so when we got back to sydney i bought them. the muffler i bought from mike from CBB performance, you should be able to get the complete kit from either of them or you could give boris from vintage veedub a call too..... yeah its polished stainless..... prick to keep clean but i just love the look they have... thinking of getting them ceramic coated... see how i go
Still waiting for a video of that exhaust :P

Nice
front guards + bonnet + 13mm bolts + some primer = a fun night tonight and finally some progress again
update:
just bought a rhino case for my new gearbox and will pick up my oval-port heads with port matched manifolds from mike k tomorrow night
some pics up tomorrow night of the case, heads and mikes car's progress.
poor, sore and tired but loving every minute of it
what the rhino case set you back? PM me if you like - bolts in the same as a beetle box? Dimensions etc??
got it from Rod Penrose, it was his last one left and it cost $360. he said he will be getting a few more in but closer to the end of the year, should be similar money, obviously just depends on exchange rate and stuff at the time. and as far as i know its all the same as a beetle box, its just made stronger with more and bigger ribs. cheers adam
Hey Adam
Have you sent your entry form in for Warwick as yet will you RUN the car up there
The car looks FAST and just the part for the drag track
i printed the for out and filled it out 4 months ago... still havent sent it in... haahaha, definitly want to race it, its probably
still far from fast as its only still a build in progress.... also its only a 1776, but im hoping it will be quicker than what people expect it to
be.... ill have the goodies in it for portland though
here are a few pics of the new oval port cb head and rhino case.... excuse my enthusiasm but even little things like this get me bouncing off the
walls
44x37 on a 1776
What cam and CR does it have?

How good is the match porting of the manifolds to the heads?? If there is any offset I'd appreciate a photo.
Wheres a pic of the L/H inlet port ??? is it the same as the R/H
ummmm, i dont know which pics ur looking at dave, i posted a pic of both inlet ports which are obviously going to be the same unless ur going to be
running different capacities per cylinder and as for the single port pic, its of the exhaust port and again, they will all be the same. do you have different sized ports on
your heads?? mike says that would explain the hoursepower your making
Adam
no i want a different pic do u want bets LOL
