High Roof Drag Bus
Dak-A-Tak - August 10th, 2009 at 09:27 PM

How cool is this split bus , hope to find more imfo soon !
I think it ran at European bug-in and at Santa Pod recently. What a block of flats , plus looks like it's got some power on board .
Found more imfo,

Ok....that high roof bus looks awesome, the engine looks awesome, and the fact a splitty is racing on slicks is awesome.

But drag racing a high roof bus....different

that is freakin awesome!!! lol looks very much the part.... also must have one hell of a strong gearbox and axles with all that weight

colonel mustard - August 12th, 2009 at 08:07 PM

How much would that weigh???...

polak - August 13th, 2009 at 12:57 PM

no idea but even with any weight saving and perspex windows it would still be pretty heavy.... just think about the fact that it runs a 14 and lifts the wheels off the line, there has got to be some serious gearbox in there!

Bit woried about the sand on the track!

Its the UK Matt.... its either sand or water!!!! Its the closest we get to a beach at Santa Pod

From what I understand I'll be up close & personal with this bus in a few weeks - if I am I'll get some details pictures and post em up.

I often wonder how effective those squirrel fans are at driving temperatures down..... not sure what cfm they are. Anyone got a clue?
