Hey guys, not sure where to post this but I know a lot of you Au guys are hp freaks so thought you may get a kick out of some photos that I've just had from event photographer Julian Hunt of the 1st Cal Look Drag Day we had over here in the UK earlier this year. They've taken a while to come through as the mags get first pick....

Its also good timing as the there are a further two drag days this year in the UK, one at the end of this month at York raceway, and another the weeke after, again at Santa Pod. If any of you guys happen to be holidaying over here you should come along!

Most cars shown here run 13's and some feel that this is a fairly 'safe' thing to do. But you are right, at the next Drag Day at York helmets are COMPULSORY with all racers (and I always wear a lid anyway).

Nice pics and nice cars. Hope they go as good as they look. Like the oval in the 3rd post in between the ghia and the orange beetle.
Also as I am a escort / capri nut, any pics of the red mk1 with pro649 on the window. My brother has a mk1 with a BDA head and quad throttle bodies and would love to see it.

Sorry turbo54 not got any more pics of the escort... the gold Oval you saw is a low 12's ET car. The turbo cars didn't have a very good day at the pod I have to say! Mine blew up.... Poe in the white one struggled with low 13 passes (the car has run 10's) and Daz in the blue/navy blue 'Aircooled Performance' car had traction issues which sent him WAAAAY past the point of no return and bent his pushrods. Again a 10 second car. Now the two turbo ghias - you know, I haven't a clue what they did? I'll find out. I don't know if you guys get VOlksworld out there? Write up is in the latest issue.
