Mystery Drag engine build.

These parts were shown to me last week by a certain individual who is planning an out of the ordinary drag engine build they were all coated and came
up a treat, the engine will be driven hard and then torn down to assess the wear on the coated parts.

quite possibly the dark grey "paint" is a wettable moly based coating designed to keep oil on surfaces that need oil.And its hard to tell but looks
like it may have some kind of coating on the crown also but they can be almost undetectable.

Maybe they are putting it in a lexan case, like some motorcyles diffs as to make the car look fancy.

isn't the rattle can black just to show where the wear is. eg: comes off easy to expose areas or am I not reading the first post right?
