Hi All,
All looks good for VW Warwick 2010. Rod Penrose has just arrived and the pit area is dry, the track looks good and the weather clear. Let's go
racing!!

bloody hell....is it that time already
Better get my sh#t together then
AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
shite not so soon
im of to the ice box (shed)
Holy Smoke I better get my shite together too.... (got my roll over bars and fron axle bent up today)

I had the roll overs bent today and they are not perfect, when they were being bent one of the bends couldn't be done the whole way as it was hitting on the hydralics of the machine bender, now I need to borrow some oxy to just get them exact ( about 3-5deg more one side) I will get some pics when they are tacked up. Do you know someone with Oxy Acetaline bottles, I have the torch and guages and only need about 10min worth of gas.
G'day Frosty, you can borrow my oxy acetelene if you like - the bottles (smallish so easy to transport) are already on a trolley with guages etc.
Happy to help if I can - stop by the workshop if you want to pick it up whenever.
Sorry to side track Craig - I'll be at Warwick again but unfortunately not racing as my engine won't be here and in the oval in time - wouldn't
miss the event though!
Cheers

Rose entered months ago accommodation and every thing sorted.
tHIS year she wants me to take the seats out of her brown bug
The kombi is back on the road with more traction and a new engine, so I'll be there after a tune up.
I've been told.......(keep out of the square back!!!!)
Should be another good weekend.

As usual, Valla was a great weekend, and the added bonus was having the opportunity to take a sneak peak at photos of some of the new drag cars aiming
to debut at the Warwick event. Shane Hobson's new drag beast is very impressive.
Quote of the Valla weekend: Henry Spicak - " I don't really enjoy having the front wheels of my drag car in the air - it's not helping me get to
the finish as quickly...."
Looks like I've been outed. Knew i wouldn't be able to fly under the radar for long. Yes I hoping to have a new drag car out at Warwick 2010. Still
plenty of work to do before then. Cbb is preparing the motor for me as we speak. The CBB team built a strong reliable motor for little brothers car
(too cranky) so I cant wait to see how my little beast will perform over the 1/8th at Warwick.
Cbb's new website should have build details up soon for anyone interested.

Every year at Warwick gets bigger and better and from all the whispers this year shouldn't be any different. Hope to be able to make some noise with
you all this year.
Regards
Shane
well ive entered the fasty again for hopefully the last time, would like to debut the new car for warwick 2011 so long as time permit with building a new house and shed, time will tell.
Definately not there this year, but have a leave pass for next year already - so far away... Ah well.
Well , as a few of you that i spoke to at Valla would know , myself and a couple of the boys have decided to put together a Ratty 62 Beetle for
Warwick and have started on it this weekend .
So see you all there as i can't wait after my 2 years of absence .
PS Stay tuned in Members Rides for some pics of the Rat Racer
what car's are confirmed so far is there a list happening.
I'll hopefully be there as a spectator (unfortunately) - my wife is due with our 2nd bub within weeks of the event so no chance of me competing,
still trying to achieve adequate brownie points to get away as our first bub came early. May have to borrow Aaron's kombi to race back to the gold
coast for delivery - 700+ horse power should get me there in time!
Good luck to everyone preparing for what I'm sure will be another great weekend!

Hi All,
Preparations for Warwick are well underway, including new style trophies for the 2010 October weekend.
As with Portland, pre-paid gate and/or dinner passes will be issued at the track. If you arrive Friday, you can collect them from me (I'm usually
hanging around the scrutineering bay), and on Saturday at the front gate. Regulars to Warwick are aware that Jo Sinclair, race director for the
weekend, does a thorough job to ensure everyone has the correct tickets, armbands and other passes, but to make Jo and my job a tad easier, it would
be appreciated if everyone has these in order by end of scrutineering on Saturday.
Competitors are also advised to check their helmets for compliance. ANDRA scrutineers will be looking at helmet tags that must display one of the
following helmet standards:
AS/NZS 1698:2006
AS/NZS 1698
SNELL SA2000
SNELL SA2005
SNELL M2000
SNELL M2005
SFI 31.2A
SFI 41.2A
BS 6658-198
All other apparel requirements are as per the VWMA website.
The VWMA website - http://www.vwma.net.au - has been updated with all the 2010
information, and registration is now open. Rego can be made online or via snail mail. The only recent change has been to the dinner/breakfast price
which has increased by $10 - something out of my control, but a good feed is still guaranteed.
Cheers
