Far out!

I used to go to the drags at Calder in the late 1960s, when the top fuellers ran in the high 7's. Never imagined a Beetle would do that.

Flintstones - August 17th, 2010 at 03:51 PM

Wow!! that is unbelievable.
who would have though a dub could go so fast:tu::tu:

Dasdubber - August 17th, 2010 at 08:39 PM

I saw the Red Baron run a 8.2x quarter at SAC earlier this year and thought it was insanely quick/fast - would have loved to have seen the first 7sec VW pro mod!!
Congratulations to Eric, Scott and the team.

DavoBuggy 1641 - August 19th, 2010 at 10:28 AM

That is nuts! I can't stop watching it but I've really got to get back to it!

pete wood - August 19th, 2010 at 11:39 AM

I for one would love to see those chassis settings. that's gotta be where it's at. AWESOME work for rear engined car with no steering for the first 60feet.

Chassis work and set up yes has to be perfect but then having huge amount of boost and HP always makes things quick too LOL

Congrats Guys top effort!! Told some die hard Rotor boys about it last night and they couldn't believe it so I sent them the youtube link! Reply was one of" bloody hell that's friggen quick!!"

pete wood - August 19th, 2010 at 02:11 PM

would I be wrong in thinking that the issue of low times has been more tied to chassis work than a lack of HP over the last 10 years or so?

LIFE IN THE LOW LANE - August 19th, 2010 at 05:27 PM

That car has seen a rather large increase in HP over the last few years as well but yes chassis dynamics is tiying the package altogether nicely.

vlad01 - August 20th, 2010 at 10:07 PM

I can't even comprehend how it takes off like that.

how many HP?
