Hector Urius was shot last night at his work.
Very sad news.
Hector's shiney black bug was the fastest carb/turbo drag bug in the world using a bug tranny.(in the 8's).
He will be missed as one of the nicest guys in the US VW dragracing scene.

I didn't know who he was but that's very sad.

I was only watching the video's of his 5.58 runs the other night. Truelly a bad situation and a big loss not only to his family but also the VW worldwide family as well.....

I feel very sad for his family and close friends.... a very painful reminder of how precious life really is . I hope they catch the prick who did this to him, and he gets what he deserves !!

I only met Hectory briefly this year at Sacramento but he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Very sad about the fact his adoption papers were just about to go through next week for a ~6month old bub he and his wife were caring for since they haven't been able to have kids. I really feel for his wife and family right now - very hard when someone is taken before 'their time'.
