Fuchs Nationals 2010 - Sydney Dragway
too cranky - September 13th, 2010 at 07:44 AM

I just wanted to say Congratulations to Henry for making it through to the quarter finals of the Fuchs Nationals on the weekend.

Henry had 2 Qualifiers on Friday, followed by a day of spectating after round 1 on saturday was at 9am, then moving through a couple of rounds to reach the Quarters on the Sunday.

I had a great time watching the exciting racing in good company. Sometimes watching can be just as much an education as driving.

I guess we will just have to watch lane choice and the tree wont we Henry!

Congratulations and well done flying the VW flag.

Darren

Thanks Darren. I'ts always good to compete at the big meetings and be part of some close racing (in one round, my competitor cut a .001 light to my .200, and then broke out by .01 of a second) All this, in the company of good friends.
As to lane choice and tree, it's good to have friends and fellow competitors that have a greater wealth of experience than myself and are willing to share the finer points of Drag Racing (Thanks Graeme C. for your help on the weekend)
To all that read this, I'm sorry if it sounds like "secret squirrel " stuff, but I would rather explain in person

Congrats Henry. Good Job. No red lights this meet??

HS618 - September 13th, 2010 at 09:31 PM

Brennden, I had enough red lights on the weekend to last (P.P.) a lifetime and a few to spare!!
I believe that if you don't redlight (especially in time trials), you're not trying hard enough plus they're an opportunity for improvement!!!
