Our first race date for 2011 is 19 & 20 March 2011 - working in with Gunnedah's Week of Speed Festival.

The Red Cheif Motel mention that you are going to the drags and they give you a discount. We have stayed there a few times before but last time it was
a bit noisey as they had a group of bowlers staying there partying all night.

Tamworth Drag Association runs the Gunnedah Drags. That run over two days Sat & Sun and there are some cheap motel in town as well as a caravan
park.
I think you can also sleep outside the track in the car park area you would just have to ask them.
We would be racing amongst all the other cars as they normally only have 3 classes eg. Bikes, cars & junior dragsters
Then on Sun after 3 runs the cars get put into 4 time categories for the finals. It’s worked out on times. Then its knock out on dial ins.
all races count for the quickest vw time .
so if your first run on the Saturday morning is the quickest over the weekend you ll be number 1 vw and still have a chance to take out the event win
in the Sunday finals as well

some pics of the weekend. All the vw's that went had a great weekend and no breakages which was good
They loved the buggy's and where surprised how well they went.
Mick took out our fastes volkswagen trophy for the weekend with a 9.1sec pass
Mick also took out runner up in class c for the weekend
