hey guys just trying to get the feelers out there i already have a 67 beetle with a 1776 and a swing axle ass end and dual 44s but looking to get
quicker is it worth doing something like a suck thru set up oh and drive ability on the road doesnt bother me at all its all part of the parcel.
what sort of power would a 1776 with a t4 make and what sort of carby would i use any info would be great and guys and girls any info will not just be
pissed away in the wind i am genuinly asking.
Humpty on here has that same deal going on, so he's a good contact for what worked and didn't.

Also have a look onthe samba, I have seen complete turbo kits on there, probably just over a grand landed here....
Shimmo's old 1776's made some nice power with only TO2 size turbo. Not mega boost, but for the street they were a bag of fun to drive, using a small turbo Weber blow through. 100 000 miles possible when done right.
Dellortos are decent carbs for turbo side draft setups. You can get them running some good times. If you chuck them on a 1776 there is no reason you couldn't get 100bhp with some tweaks. Great base and also some good fun can be had. Get the turbomania book if your doing this yourself
Loco 66 on here had a nice lobuck turbo 1600 to4 45 a sd Dell and a little nitrous kit it went 13.2 or 13.3 at 100plus mph.although it was a streeter to me it was not looked upon kindly by the police!Luke could tell u how much he spent but it was when he was at uni so I'm guessing 5k tops.I have some pics some where will look for them.ps no burnouts
