Just a quick note to say that I raced at the Sydney Dragway Track Championships this weekend
A few Highlights (in no order) were
* Only non V8 in the bracket
* Got to the Quarter finals in Super Street
* Ran a .000 Reaction Time (not bad for an old bloke)
* Ran a .024 and a .008 reaction time in the last 2 races to prove it was no fluke (make your own assumptions as to the fluke bit!!)-
* Ran a 12.05 @110.4 MPH (Personal Best)
* Ran a 12.100 on a 12.10 Dial in
So overall, it was a good weekend
Good work to get to the third round again Henry!
Nice reactions!
well done Henry,nothin wrong with old blokes cheers
Great job Henry, those are some tight numbers mate.
well done Henry, Glad you weren't doing those lights last weekend!!!!!LOL
Well done Henry!
well done Henry !! very impressive reaction times mate and great numbers too ....
Great to hear you are getting out and mixing it up with the V8 boys .. excellent work.
MMMMMM wheel spin helps to settle car PB
Car needs a holiday from you , mate . Good one Henry
Absolutely Pete, turning the tyres does help settle the car, but wheelspin just slows you down. It's a very fine balance between the two
As for the car needing a holiday, sure does. It's looking a bit untidy and very stonechipped. After the Nitro Champs it will get a tidy up and some
mechanical changes to make it more consistent, so I can have a serious go in Super Street
To everyone that replied, thank-you for your encouraging comments.
I will always try to present myself and my VW in the best possible light to the Drag Racing community - both competitors and spectators
Watch out for the Beetle on OneHD as the cameras were out on some of my runs
Yey H's when you gonna rip off those guards and let me fix them for ya
Thanks Chris, After the Nitro Champs
Nice work Henry - good to hear you've been flying the VW flag with some great performances to make the V8 guys take notice, but also representing us
unruly VW bunch in such positive stead as you always do!
Al
Hopefully Alan, If I keep doing OK (as I know I will), more VW's may dip their toes in the big ocean of open meetings and have a crack at the more powerful cars. Believe me, it's not that hard. If I can be of assistance to anyone that wants to try - just ask
