Hey all
Tony and I had a great day at Casino drags. Seems the locals are always happy for visiting cars to come and stressed the low key, FUN nature of the event.

We went early Saturday and arrived with plenty of time to spare. Tony's cousin, Poolman (David) from Ipswich came down with his Dato 1200 with Turbo EFI SR20 and new flash trailer, so it was fun to have someone we knew to have a play with. Traction was the biggest concern for anything fast as the surface is pretty slick as they aren't able to put any traction compounds down, so if your worried abut breaking things, it's these country tracks that are the go...

Well the times aren't important or very accurate by the officials admittance....but for interest sake and from my relatevely battered memory....

Tony's manx has run on the 1/8th 8.0 @ 84 mph, at Casino his best of 5 runs was a 8.6

There were 120 cars, and most V8's of all descriptions, but there was only a handfull (maybe 1 or 2 really ??!!) in the 8's

Not VW but I was surprised with my pic quality so damn, your going to have to look at a Dato
Poolman's Dato was on the trailer early... aparently he went home early for a nappy change , his last run he went over the finish line sideways and called it a day for saftey's sake.

He normally runs 10.2 @ 129mph on the 1/4
