Hi Matt yeah the car was so consistant untill i fitted the bigger turbo the i kept breaking gears and trashing clutches, best run was a 10.89 @127 mph

i'm from the uk, moving to north shore sydney, i'm keen on building a notch back, was thinking of fitting amg 6.9 in the front with twin turbo
setup, but might stay aircooled all bench talk at the mo, need to get settled first

Drag seen over here for VW's is small but growing, only 1 1/4 mile stip in Sydney, theres a few 1/8,s spread around, but not often running. No one
that I know of running a notch, be good to see.

hey thats cool, are there many notch's about, vee dubs seem alot cheeper there than here, what are they like for root, most dubs here are teabags and
need a shed load of work, we'll i'm up for some racing so thats one more to the list

beetle looks sweet and great times too
plenty of notches around....... but yes still plenty of rust if you get the wrong car. you would be used to seeing beetles etc repaired that would be
scrapped down here tho
next VW drag meet (and the biggest) is Sept/October weekend.........good 900km from Manly but could easily set up ride through this site as plenty of
people making the trip from Sydney.....would be a great chance to see the country side too as it's a lovely senic trip to get there

thanks for the info, i'll be up for that, hopefully i'll have a ride of my own as soon as, even if its a stocker, i got my eye on ebay lol, any

hey guys just found these, the first one was when the car was road legal, i drove it there and just strapped on a stinger....... then nailed the
gearbox on the next run, thatill teach me lol,

this one funny enough is the last run, 10.89 with a slipping clutch, ian kerr in the pick up hates bug's he thought i'd over heat but i'd fitted
cooling, you can see him stalling ....... i left him sleeping, so he ended up breaking out it was the final and he was well pissed
